Conversion Experience
My adult life took a miraculous turn when I left Mexico and moved to Springfield, Tennessee in 1999. At the time, I intended to work in the states awhile and send money to my wife and first son. A few months later, my wife came to join me, but she had to leave our son with others. One day someone from a Baptist church invited us to the services, and we decided to go. As I knelt at the altar during the invitation, my wife, sister, and some friends also joined me. On the same day, we all accepted the Lord as our Saviour and got baptized two weeks later.
Calling and Preparation
Five months passed, and we returned to Puerto Escondido, Oasaca to bring our son to the states. While attending church services, the Lord called me to the ministry. He wanted me to become a pastor. Through counsel and prayer, in January 2000, we moved to San Luis Potosi and attended Maranatha Bible Institute. I completed training in pastoral theology in May 2004.
The Field
Since graduating, the Lord has burdened me about pioneering a work in Villa de Fuente, Coahuila. This city has a population of about 60,000 people, and there is not one fundamental Baptist church.
